Air Quality Carbon Emissions Instructions

GAME SET UP:

  1. Start by plugging in LED bars to a power source

  2. Place all of the high-carbon tiles in the display so the LED readouts are in the red.

  3. Place the low-carbon tiles for the apartment face-up on the table below the apartment.

  4. Place the low-carbon tiles for the house face-up on the table below the house.

HOW TO PLAY:

The goal of the game is to reduce carbon emissions by replacing the high-carbon appliances with low-carbon appliances for the house and apartment building. The LED bars represent the carbon emissions level, and the players’ objective is to lower them.

If it's a low-carbon appliance tile (e.g., smart thermostat), it will decrease carbon emissions, so the LED bar moves down. If it's a high-carbon appliance (e.g., furnace), it increases carbon emissions, so the LED bar moves up.

Display booth with a graphic showing how homes produce greenhouse gases, featuring illustrations of different types of houses and buildings. The booth includes instructional materials on reducing carbon emissions, and the table is covered with a cloth depicting urban and residential scenes.
