#BargeWatch

We’re piggy backing on a viral event to help local businesses in our community!

On November 15th 2021 during a large storm, a barge broke its mooring and washed up onto Vancouver’s Sunset Beach where it has sat to this day. It has become a global viral sensation with people visiting the West End to enjoy the sight and online it has been shared globally by millions!

This attention was so much even the Vancouver Parks Board got on board erecting a sign called “Barge Chilling Beach”.

With all this viral attention and with what has been going on for small local businesses with the pandemic we thought it would be a good opportunity to jump on the publicity and get some attention for our local businesses.

We secure the domain “www.bargechillingbeach.ca” and built a webpage prompting people to hazard a guess at when they think the barge will be removed and displaying a map of all the locally owned businesses in the area.

Hopefully, this will generate some awareness for these local businesses who aren’t always on the most public-facing streets but they can definitely make some great products and give awesome service!

A good idea with passionate individuals behind it is what gets me going!

With training and work experience in Marketing, Event Management and Architecture along with being an International Sailing Coach for the past ten years I have been afforded the opportunity to work alongside many inspiring individuals and groups.

With this experience I came to realise my passion and strengths are within creating and building relationships as well as realizing an idea or team's potential and helping them present that potential to prospective clients both visually and verbally.

I am always looking for a challenge and for the opportunity to help an individual or team bring an idea/dream to fruition!
