Best Buys Christmas Tech Wonderland Drive Through Experience
The Brief
We partnered with the MRG Events and Best Buy teams to design and build a Christmas drive-through experience showcasing Bestbuy products in a unique, safe, fun and interactive way.
Most importantly given the challenging year everyone had had we wanted to blow the minds of every kid that visited this event and let families be families for a short while.

Design Approach
We wanted to create a street of shop fronts and within each of those shopfronts we created a Christmas scene using only consumer tech products that are available to purchase from Bestbuy. This create a unique and fun challenge for our team looking at how they could utilise this tech to create memorable scenes for guests to enjoy.
We began with identifying what those Christmas memory scenes are such as cooking Christmas dinner, carol singing, presents by the tree and then brought those concepts forward by studying the capabilites of consumer products and how we could hack them to bring each scene to life!
How do you keep Santa Safe?
You stick him in his sleigh 12 feet above everyone so he can wave, laugh and bring “socially distant” Christmas joy to all the boys and girls!
Our Process
We work with our partners and clients to clearly visualize what the design concept is, that way they are confident in what is being proposed and can truly envision the end design. This makes for a great collaborative flow as no one knows their users better than the client themselves and when they truly understand the design their input along the way is invaluable.
