Low tide Container Bar

Project Overview

Client: Low Tide Properties

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada

Duration: 2 months

Scope:

BRIEF

Low Tide Properties runs free community events across Vancouver, from outdoor soccer watch parties to neighbourhood festivals and block parties. They needed more than a rental setup: a permanent bar asset that could deploy fast, operate at event scale, and look like it belongs. We designed and built a fully self-contained container bar over eight weeks, handling concept development, 3D modelling, and full in-house fabrication. The result is a mobile, weather-resistant unit built to support four POS positions, integrated prep and storage, and compliant utility systems, all finished to a standard that holds up event after event for years.

Considerations

  • Designing a 20-foot service bar layout supporting four POS positions with integrated back bar, prep stations, and storage

  • Engineering self-contained electrical, drinking water, and grey water systems that are third-party evaluated and health authority compliant

  • Building for repeated deployment across multiple sites, with the structural integrity to handle transport and relocation

  • Premium material finishes selected for durability, weather resistance, and ease of cleaning across high-traffic event use

  • Custom lighting, branding integration, and a rainproof awning system to create strong visual presence in outdoor crowd settings

The Result

Process

3d ModelLing

We modelled the full container bar in 3D before fabrication to plan structural modifications, validate the service workflow across four positions, and confirm material and systems placement. This let us solve layout and engineering challenges digitally and align with the client before cutting steel.

Fabrication

All fabrication was handled in-house, from structural cutting and welding through to utility systems, interior fit-out, and final finishing. The build went from raw shipping container to a fully operational, delivery-ready bar system in under eight weeks.
