DesCan Visited our studio

We recently had the pleasure of hosting the Design Canada Association (DesCan) for a studio tour and talk. It was an honour to meet so many talented individuals and to have DesCan recognize our space as a hub for creativity and collaboration.

The key takeaways from our discussion included some valuable insights:

  • AI is not your enemy. It’s a powerful tool that can enhance your work and streamline processes.

  • Networking starts in school. Use LinkedIn to connect with everyone you meet and share your work to stay top of mind with your network.

  • Don't be shy to invite creative professionals to lunch. We all eat lunch, and most would be delighted to connect over a meal.

  • Get a clean structure for your portfolio. Consistency in your layout across projects can make a big difference.

  • Discover your values. Find a team that aligns with them, and you’ll love coming to work every day.

Thanks again to DesCan for organizing this tour and to everyone who braved the horrible weather to visit us.

A good idea with passionate individuals behind it is what gets me going!

With training and work experience in Marketing, Event Management and Architecture along with being an International Sailing Coach for the past ten years I have been afforded the opportunity to work alongside many inspiring individuals and groups.

With this experience I came to realise my passion and strengths are within creating and building relationships as well as realizing an idea or team's potential and helping them present that potential to prospective clients both visually and verbally.

I am always looking for a challenge and for the opportunity to help an individual or team bring an idea/dream to fruition!

Feel free to reach out for a chat.
