Paterson Park Public Event Report

Scope: Designed a visually appealing, digestible report for John Donnelly and the City of Delta, translating John’s research into a polished, on-brand document that makes the case for Paterson Park as a venue for public events.
BRIEF
The City of Delta retained John Donnelly to prepare a report explaining why Paterson Park is a suitable site for public events; John provided the required content and assets and asked us to produce a polished document. We responded by creating a clean, on-brand layout that prioritizes strong paragraph styles, clear typographic hierarchy and colours pulled from the City of Delta palette, and by integrating imagery from the successful Barnside Harvest Festival to illustrate real event use. We designed legible tables and information graphics for capacities, infrastructure and cost notes, organized the appendices (site drawings, traffic and parking plans, venue comparisons), and delivered a print- and screen-ready PDF that makes the business case accessible to stakeholders.
Considerations
Applied the City of Delta colour palette and typography for a consistent, official look
Established strong typographical hierarchy (titles, subheads, callouts) to keep content digestible
Arranged the content into a considered page layout, balancing text and white space so each page reads clearly
Clarified data with tables, diagrams and maps
Ensured accessibility with readable type sizes and colour contrast
