Translinks Donation Train
The Brief
To design and build a fun playful way of encouraging the public to donate toys, clothing and food for the less fortunate over the Christmas period. This project was dreamed up by the team at MRG Events and we were delighted to team up with them and bring this concept to fruition.
Considerations…
Easy to transport and set up by a single individual
Must take up minimal room when stored in the off-season
Low cost and easy to produce multiple sets
The Result
A row of bins resembling a Translink Skytrain. One dedicated for each type of donation that is required.
The Process
Concept Design
We did a basic 3D model of the proposed design which is a great tool for both the client to review and approve what is being proposed with confidence and for the graphics team to see what assets they will have to create.
2. Detailed Design
Each bin’s graphics are clearly laid out for review by the client and to ensure the print team can interpret what needs to be printed onto which specific materials.
3. Build/Fabricate
And then we build! This project consisted of installing printed vinyl directly to the bins as well as CNC cutting the wheels.
