Squamish Hospital Foundation Coloring Page
Project Overview
Client: Squamish Hospital Foundation
Location: Squamish, BC
Duration: 2022
Scope:
Develop a fun graphic for kids to color in while waiting at the hospital or at home. The graphic was meant to represent the Squamish Hospital and encompassed the outdoor spirit of Squamish.
Considerations
We were conscious of the level of detail used, ensuring it was suitable for children aged 4 and up.
The graphic conveyed vibes of happiness, family, and caring for each other and our environment.
Our Process
Concept Design
We sketched a scene within a hospital waiting room, a public area where healthcare professionals and patients come together for the first time and where things can get busy and unpredictable.
In the background, we included a salmon in a bed being looked after by an eagle.
In the foreground, we depicted a pregnant Momma bear with her loving partner and three little cub bears running around, climbing over chairs, and causing some minor chaos.
Throughout the image, we included other furry critter patients and healthcare professionals, all with different injuries and ailments.
To keep everything "on brand" with Squamish, we dressed each of the patients in unique sports clothing, hinting that they had been out enjoying Squamish's outdoors and had an unfortunate mishap.
