American Eagle Outfitters & Quiet Logistics
Project Overview
Client: AEO & Quiet Logistics
Location: California, USA
Duration: 2022
Scope:
To create an experience that merged the digital and physical environments to capture and keep the attention and intrigue of an audience to aid the keynote speaker in telling their vision and mission of their company with the overall goal of raising investor funding.
In the words of our client, "I want this to be as cool as a new Apple product release!"
DELIVERABLES
An Activation that combined digital and physical experience containing
Custom animations
Custom IOS application to control everything
A carrying case that is TSA approved
Considerations
It needed to allow the speaker to free flow their presentation and not be held to a script.
It was required to be presentable in both an intimate setting and a staged setting in front of a large audience.
Animations and UI/UX needed to be updatable remotely wherever they were in the world.
It had to fit in carry-on luggage on a plane in size and weight and adhere to all TSA travel guidelines.
It had to align with the visual identity of the physical product they were producing.
The Result
We crafted a custom experience that seamlessly blended digital and physical elements to engage and captivate the audience.
A custom-fabricated case was designed to reveal a transparent 3D-printed topographical map of America. This map was placed over a screen that projected custom animations, creating a dynamic and illuminated display.
Complementing this was a vertical touchscreen that allowed interaction with multiple animations which in turn also controlled the animations under the 3D printed map. The speaker could flick between these animations effortlessly while organically speaking to each one.
1.0 UI/UX - Software - The touchscreen interface allowed the presenter to flick between each animation intuitively, with both the vertical and horizontal screens synchronized for a cohesive presentation.
2.0 Animation - The logistics infrastructure was brought to life through engaging, looping animations that enhanced the visual storytelling. Allowing the presenter to speak for as long or as short as they liked.
3.0 The Case - A merge of 3D printing and handcrafted by our skilled carpenter, the custom case was designed to match the clients “Tag Along Box” product, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic alignment with the client’s brand.
4.0 3D Printed Topographical Map - The horizontal plane displayed a simplified version of the animations that casted upwards through the 3D-printed topographical map that was placed on top of it, providing a tactile and visually compelling representation of the animated data and captivating the audiences attention.
Travel Case - To ensure ease of travel we designed and built a travel case in house as it became clear there was nothing on the market that met our requirements.
This innovative setup delivered an immersive and visually striking presentation, successfully capturing the excitement and sophistication desired by the client, and effectively supporting the keynote speaker’s mission to attract investor funding.
